I just recently discovered Aaron Masters and hope that there is more to come soon! His historical fiction is sharply detailed, but isn't overbearing or over my head. It is apparent that he has done his research and we are all the better for it! The characters in "Queen of Aces" are real enough that you love them, hate them and root for them. Buy it for the fabulous storytelling. Enjoy the history lesson that's interesting even to someone who didn't enjoy history in school. I only wish that there were more of Aaron Masters' books out there to enjoy...
Excellent Novel!!!!

Queen of Aces is an exceptionally inspiring and entertaining Novel for men and women alike. Unfortunately, one reviewer named Cindy Weigand has no idea about fiction versus non-fiction when she wrote her critic. Even though I am not normally a reader of Novels, I acquired this book at a local book signing from the author himself. As far a books go, I have never read a programming book that did not contain grammatical errors, typos and etc. This sensational Novel, Queen of Aces, may have a few errors made by the publisher, but absolute forgiveness should be taken towards both the publisher and author, Aaron Masters. Queen of Aces plays a more modernized impact on successful women of the millineum world and should be on the bookshelf in every home and office.Darcie
Queen of Aces

Queen of Aces is a riviting and engaging story from page one. The author's incredible attention to detail and understanding of the time period literally puts you into the shoes of the characters. He also delicately balances fact and fiction so that you'd swear that all of this really happened.Speaking of characters, Meg (our hero) is one of the best female characters I've ever read. You can't help but pull for her as she tries to make it in a man's world. She battles not only the enemy in WWII, she also faces the arrogant prejudice of the American military. In my mind, she raises the bar of what it means to be a hero. This story has it all. Romance, adventure and heart pounding air battles. The ending will leave you teary eyed and begging for more. Pick it up and you won't put it down!

Queen of Aces is brilliantly written to inspire all women to fight for what you believe in. I would love to see this story at a movie theatre. It starts out back in the days of Amelia Airhart. Meg and her twin brother learn to fly in air shows with their father. Meg Ryan ends up being an astounding hero and I felt as if I was right there with her through-out the book. Men will get all wrapped up in the action as well as women. She goes from young and innocent to risking her life to save her comrads with the sharpest of skills, bravery, and quick thinking. Not every one who fights in a war is patriotic and will stop at nothing to fight for their own glory. Meg is not one of those. It all comes to a thrilling climax where evil and good clash. In disguise, she pushes the envelope and fights with the best of them and is the best. Read it. you'll love it. It feels very personal. And what ever else anything is, it all begins by being personal.
A war story you haven't heard and won't soon forget.

Meg Reilly grew up with airplanes. Her father built them and she and her two brother flew them. They were all great pilots, Meg may have been the best. When World War II came along her brothers got to fly combat but because she was a woman, she was only allowed to ferry planes around the country. She hated sitting around while her brothers got all the glory, so she became a leader in the fight for equality in the air. It was a long tough battle, destined for failure, but she pushed on relentlessly, refusing to give in. One day, by a vicious twist of fate, she got her chance to fly combat--the first American woman ever to engage the enemy in hostile skies. A moving story of courage, adventure, love and sacrifice. It will make all women proud. A great debut novel for an obviously talented author, Aaron Masters.
