Oh my goodness!

Each page features a miniature work of art. Literally. These are actual gouache paintings, and my oh my are they ever beautiful. Mr. Gerstein is a Caldecott winner, meaning that he has won the most prestigious children's book award in the United States! Worth every penny and more. This is a real artist here.
