Welcome Back Kai!

Welcome back to the Rising World! I had been hoping there would be more after finishing The Witch King and falling in love with Kai and his friends as they battle to keep everyone free and make sure the Hierarchs never come back! This book drops right back in where the first book left off and I loved the chapters of the past where I could get a better understanding of what Kai and Ziede went through working with the other warriors to take back the cities that the Hierarchs claimed as well as more about these awful beings that brought death and destruction wherever they went. The introduction of the dust witches were also interesting. The chapters in the present were just as intriguing with the discoveries that Dahin about the location of the well and all the trouble that research brings! I had a blast reading this book and I really hope that there will be more to Kai's story, especially after that last climatic battle and revelation! This was such a fun book to listen to. The narrator, Eric Mok, did a great job in bringing the demon Kai, and all the others to life in this fascinating and complex world of demons, immortals, hierarchs, and free people of the Rising World. I am grateful to have gotten the chance to visit this world again and can't wait for more!
