Located about 20 miles east of the California border on I-10, Quartzsite, Arizona is a small desert town with a year-round population of about 3,500 people. Each winter up to 1.5 million visitors will converge on Quartzsite between the months of October and April. Quartzsite is host to one of the largest gem & mineral shows each January. In addition to dozens of swap meets, shows, and activities, Quartzsite is also a great central location to many other attractions and activities nearby. A person can be in either Los Angeles or Las vegas within 3 1/2 hours. Phoenix, Yuma, Lake Havasu City, and Mexico are all within a 2 hours drive. Winter residents from the north migrate south to Quartzsite each year to enjoy the beauty and the warmth the desert has to offer.
