She becomes bitter and her behavior follows suit, until she meets someone outside of the home, and of a different culture, who finally teats her with respect. his causes Quanique to pull herself up and out of the pit she seemed to be falling into. Hang in there with her through the hard times, and see this young lady become a more productive, happier citizen.
