A new type of computer that harnesses the power of the atom is revolutionizing how computers work. This book introduces you to systems that use the laws of quantum mechanics to solve problems in minutes that would otherwise take the world's largest supercomputer millions of years to process. Discover' what quantum computers do and how they're expected to transform industries like finance, pharmaceuticals, transportation, and energy. You don't need a PhD to understand the basics of quantum computing, thanks to the simple explanations inside. Inside… Quantum vs. classical computers, Who's using quantum computers, Industries most likely to be disrupted by quantum computing, Quantum cryptography, How quantum computing drives machine learning and AI, Career opportunities in the field of quantum computing
Well, you will not be a dummy if you finish this book.

This book is a little bit difficult for folks who are new to quantum computing. Quantum computing itself is new and the people who are knowledgeable enough to write a book are so well versed that they don't necessarily speak the same language as you and I. (Ping me, I will help dumb it down.) Mongo took a bit longer to digest the book.
They do warn you that you might have to read some sections twice. (Don’t worry, the authors had to read things more than once when they started.) It is new it is weird and we are all in this together.
I was a little bit bored and didn't feel like I was getting a lot of content out of the beginning of the book and then I realized that I had actually been keeping tabs on quantum and reading a few things here and there so it was a bit redundant.
They are pretty specific about that saying you can just skip through chapters that don't apply to you. I'm fairly curious and I wanted to get some actual hands-on sort of deep science by the time I got to the end of the book, but the reality is this is not a deep science book it's an intro book but this book is a jewel. Now I really doubt that the two authors were the ones who were extensively doing all the detailed checking of the links that are in the back of this book. I am certain whurley said “Here, add all these links”, because he has been exposed to a lot of information during his travels. There's a chapter or two toward the end and it is pure gold it tells you all sorts of different paths that you can go down in terms of learning more information. The value of this book is worth more than twice what you pay for it because finding all those links and resources is well worth the time and effort to read to the back of the book. I think it's 350-plus pages. But the back of the book is packed full of different avenues and groups and lessons that are just golden. It looks like a marketing catalog trying to lure people into the industry. It is also a rabbit hole for the intellectually curious. You have been warned.
