At the end of a beautiful and busy day, Sebastian should be asleep. But he is still wide awake. Snuggling down next to his father, Sebastian asks, ""Do you know what I want to be when I grow up?""... This description may be from another edition of this product.
this book is about a little turtle who tells his father about all the things he thinks of being when he grows up ("cuando sea grande") - a firefighter, a pirate, a skydiver, etc. The interactions, and the drawings, are gentle, kind, and supportive, a great going-to-bed book that also encourages a child to believe they can be anything when they grow up. My 4-year-old requests this almost every night.

I've used this book for my work as a kindergarten teacher

As a kindergarten teacher I've already used this lovely book as the basis for working with children. The 3- to 6-year-olds love looking at the illustrations and having the story read out to them. We talked about their parents' jobs and their own dream jobs. We also talked about the kids' favorite pets. Then the children drew pictures based on that. We even organised a little exhibition of those drawings in our kindergarten. "When I Grow Up ..." is a really nice book!
A touching story of parental love

This story really touched us to the bottom of our hearts. It expresses exactly our emotions about being mother and father. Reading the book out to our two kids, we felt so close to them. In an artistically simple way, this book tells what parental love really means. The scene of Father turtle telling his son that his greatest wish has always been to become a father is so sweet and tender, it brings tears to our eyes every time we read it. A simply beautiful book!
My sons's favourite bedtime story

My son Fabian loves this book, and so do I. It 's a sweet story with funny scenes about Sebastian, the little turtle, and his wishes for occupations. Then, at the end of the day, when Father turtle and his son cuddle with each other, it's a peaceful moment of loving and caring for each other. When I read the book to him, my son becomes quiet and sleepy himself. I can only recommend this book to everyone to share it with their little kids.
