Abstract: In this study, a quality control of Dakin water, a local antiseptic sold in pharmacies, was carried out. The physicochemical analysis consists mainly in the verification of the indications on the label by the determination of the concentration of hypochlorite ions by iodometry, the determination of the bases present in the solution by potentiometric titration, the analysis of chloride ions by argentiometry and the determination of the concentration of permanganate ions by absorbance spectrophotometry. Key words: Dakin, antiseptic, physicochemistry.
