Qi: 44 Years of Art in Quarantine: Heijplaat Quarantine Facility Rotterdam

By Louike Duran

Artistic innovations in a green peninsula and a global center for recovery

Built in the 1930s, the Beneden Heijplaat Quarantine Facility (QI) in Rotterdam began being used by artists in 1979. This book is a tribute to the art and culture within QI and a plea for the preservation of studio and living spaces for artists in the changing city.
