?I just went to the store!? What happens one frantic week when everyone forgets to put the things they need on Mom's shopping list? First, it's cookies, but no milk. Then macaroni, no cheese. And... This description may be from another edition of this product.
We originally got this book from the library. My 6 yr old read it so many times i just ordered it for him. Very cute and catchy. We loved this book...story and illustrations.

Like so many households, the chicken family keeps running out of food items and daily essentials. No syrup to go with the pancakes on Monday, no toothpaste to go with the toothbrushes on Tuesday, and no milk to go with the cookies on Wednesday. What a relief when it's finally shopping day on Thursday. But the chickens learn the hard way (what, no toilet paper?!) that shopping without a list quickly leads to the same problem. This amusing book provides a good opportunity to introduce young children to some basic concepts in economics, including consumers, goods, and household work.
