Fool him once...I've never been one to complain about my lack of good fortune, figuring I lead a pretty blessed life, but when suddenly people all around us started having their greatest wishes come true, I couldn't help but wonder when this would happen to me. As it was, life had other surprises in store for us. Namely to be given away as wedding presents.Indeed-a wedding had been announced and would soon be taking place between Mayor Charlene Butterwick and Chief of Police Alec Lip... if only the future groom hadn't been kidnapped, causing much distress to all concerned.Meanwhile a circus had set up shop in Hampton Cove, which soon proved very popular, especially when a fortune teller started telling everyone's fortunes... and granting their every wish. Odelia felt things were too good to be true, and recruited us cats to do some snooping around. And so snoop around we did-at least until Grandma Muffin gave us away as wedding gifts. Oh, she meant well, of course-but then she always does... before all hell breaks loose.
