Punished to Live is an adaptation to English of my novel Castigado a vivir, the first volume of my trilogy Where Memory Dwells.Punished to Live is a novel that makes a journey through the childhood memories of its central character: Fernando Rivas. The plot is set in Spain, during the last years of Franco's dictatorship and in the early years of the Transition.It is written mostly using the speech of consciousness style -a melancholic and descriptive tone prevails-, with which the narrator tries to put in order his memories on some events that would mark his life forever.Thank you indeed for your interest on Punished to Live
