Christmas isn't everyone's 'most wonderful time of the year'. For some, it places fairy lights and tinsel around the things they already struggle to hide from.

"One fucking day, Jeremy knew he would end up saying something, but as long as it wasn't today... He was grateful for Christmas as it meant he could at least get extra tablets, which pleased the piss yellow bottle and his own fat mouth.
As far as Ashley was concerned, if he could make My Jeremy laugh and keep him safe it was a good day... Food, sleep and jingle ball were always a happy bonus."

In a life he eventually decides to leave, we watch Jeremy and his dog Ashley's last days together, unfold.
