Garcia Ortiz was born on September 11th. 1960 in New York City's Spanish Harlem where he attended Our Lady Queen of Angels and Cardinal Hayes H.S. in the Bronx. By 1984 he was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Navy and studied at the August Propersi School of Art in Greenwich, Connecticut. In 1996 he would go to Puerto Rico and become an Artesano with the Department of Tourism. By 1998 he began Tattooing and in 2001 returned to Puerto Rico to learn about himself and the island he loves
