This is a delightful book about an 11-year-old girl who spends most of her time reading. Her mom is a cleaning woman with aspirations of creating a larger business. Her mom takes her on a job with her because she had no school that day and she didn't believe in leaving her at home alone. The little girl spies a manuscript on the table and decides to read it rather than the
book she brought. The publisher catches her and asks her opinion, which she gives. The little girl ends up inspiring the publisher, who ends up starting various programs in the small community making publishing a community affair.
