The objective of this study was to evaluate the quality of the urban public bus transportation system from the user's point of view, focusing on medium-sized cities in Brazil. Thus, we sought to measure indicators of user satisfaction with this mode of transportation. The attributes used in this research were: accessibility, travel time, crowding, punctuality, information system, vehicle characteristics, employee behavior, safety, reliability, bus stop characteristics, and overall satisfaction during peak hours. The methodology used was psychometrics, verifying the analysis of the items, the validity, and the reliability of the tests. This work is intended for an audience that believes it is important to increase the value of opinion research in the public transportation system to improve the quality of the service provided.
