Beavers provides the connecting link between traditional psychology and family systems theory. This is best resource for research about the range of family functioning (disfunctional, midrange, adequate, optimal) and what happens to the individual children who grow up in them. It's very unfortunate that this bood is out of print. Buy it while you still have an opportunity!
