A Timeless Classic

I first read this book back in 2003 when I was in 3rd grade. When I first read it, I was instantly hooked! I simply couldn’t put it down. Now, 16 years later, I still hold a special place in my heart for this book. I recommend this book to literally anyone. You won’t regret it.

P.S. Longer Letter Later (The Best Book Ever!!)

The novel P.S. Longer Letter Later is a very exciting story about two young girls who were best friends. The real question was how long could they keep there relationship strong. tara had what she thought was average parents, and elizabeth had very young parents who she had to teach how to grow up. These two girls did not have perfect lives, but they were happy with who they were, what they had, but they were most grateful for eachother. They went to the samqe school, had lots of sleepovers, and saw eachother at least two times a day. Tara's parents had kept a secret from her, she wasnt sure what it was but she could tell that it was causing problems, big problems. She noticed that her parents were getting in alot of fights, also that a lot of companys were calling(and they werent happy), and that her dad had found a new interest of drinking. The girls always wrote letters to eachother talking about everything that they could possibley find. A few days later Elizabeth had sent a letter. When tara went to read it, it had some disapointing noose, Elizabeth was moving. Of course she was moving right when Tara's family was having a meltdown. Can these two girls still kepp there friendship, and work things out with there family? This a great story, and they even made an amazing sequel "Snail Mail No More" READ IT!!!!!!

P.S. Longer Letter Later

P.S. Longer Letter Later By: Paula Danziger and Ann M. Martin Reviewed by: S. Ku Period: 1 The book, P.S. Longer Letter Later, is written by Paula Danziger and Ann M. Martin. This a diary of two best friend's letters back and forth. When Tara*Starr moves away, Elizabeth is furious, but she loves Tara*Starr too much to make her, her ex-best friend. They write letters back and forth, until one day, Elizabeth's father loses his job. The family has money issues and Tara*Starr tries to help Elizabeth feel better, but Elizabeth takes it as an insult. The friendship ends with a letter saying, "I hope you enjoy your life." However, Tara*Starr still wants to be friends, and she sends letter until Elizabeth answers saying that she still wants to be friends. Elizabeth's dad soon leaves the family, and Tara*Starr's "Charents" are pregnant. Everything goes downhill for them, but their friendship stays strong. I liked this book because it kept me intrested and I never wanted to put the book down. It had many things in the book that a preteen like me could relate to. I've had ups and downs with my best friend, just like Tara*Starr and Elizabeth had fights over the letters. Just like on page 143. It says, "So this is it. Goodbye. Elizabeth. P.S. I never said we hide behind couches when the doorbell rings. I just said we hide. But you make stuff up, Tara, and then you try to build a case on it-- and yell at me for something you made up. Enjoy your life, Tara." This is when they had their first fight that I can relate to. However, we have always reunited as best friends, also like Tara*Starr and Elizabeth. We've shared our awkward moments, stupid moments, funny moments, and most importantly, kodak moment. Just like on page I can also relate to Tara*Starr moving, because one of my friends had also moved before away. That is why I like this book. I dislike this book because of the story plot. I don't like how Elizabeth's father moved away on page 178. "Girls, I have something to tell you. I'm not coming with you today. I need a little space, some time to myself. I have to figure some things out. So... you go to the new place, you and your mom. I'll be in touch next week." I didn't like that part because it was very sad, and I think it was overdramatic. This is part of the reason why I do not like this book. My favorite part of the book was when Tara*Starr and Elizabeth made up, and became best friends again. I liked this part, because it reminds me of when I make up with my friends, and how I would never take them for granted ever again. My least favorite part of this book was when Tara*Starr and Elizabeth got in the fight, because it wasn't that interesting and Elizabeth was being very stubborn when she wasn't talking to Tara*Starr.
