Gerald Hardcastle, a local banker, and his wife, Prudence, are without issue. It seems to be a mystery, until one day, when he hears a tale from his brother Henry. Turns out that Henry’s daughter, Geraldine, had been secretly replacing her mother’s thenol (BC pills) with aspirin as a precaution. Naturally, the inevitable happens. Now you would think this was an isolated solution until you realize that half of the women in the village are taking vitamins. And lots of aspirin is getting into the wrong uh… hands. You can guess some outcomes, but the plot thickens, and there are twists to take into consideration.
