By the title, I assumed this would be a book talking about the controversy of this drug. Maybe 1% of it was about the side effects (& of course it listed less than 10 of the hundreds of side effects) or controversy. The rest of the book was pushing kids to take the drug with little snippets of how kids were feeling depressed & all these other negative emotions & then they took Prozac & the whole world magically got better! So if you're feeling depressed or have any negative emotions at all, kids, talk to your M.D. who can get you on this wonder drug!
It kept saying how "successful" the drug was, but it never listed trial results, and left out the fact that trials showed it has the same success rate as placebo (50%). It explained how it increases serotonin which will "solve" your chemical imbalance which they market as being the cause of depression, but never gets into details about how the gut makes serotonin & controls levels, which is easily thrown out of balance (& rebalanced) by dietary changes
