Seeking advice from mature believers who fear the Lord and know His Word is also crucial. Discipline and correction, along with reflecting on our mistakes are important for growing in wisdom. If one lacks wisdom, let him or her ask of God who gives to all men freely without upbraiding.

The Book of Proverbs offers much wisdom that can help to increase the quality of our lives. It is advantageous and profitable to take them to heart, and as Wisdom that cries out in the Book, keep them close to you. Bind them around your neck. They will be your strength, comfort, and help in your time of adversity and need.

Proverbs may be simple sayings, but they can be profound in meaning and relevance. They are more than cute little clich s. They are the wisdom of God expressed to deal with everyday issues. They may be expressed in everyday language, but it is important to get down to the real underlying truth that can only come through spiritual revelation.
