Prove It

It is vital that all Christians know what they should believe and why they should believe it. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:21, "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." A Christian cannot have certain beliefs just because someone has told them to or because certain beliefs run in their family. Instead, every Christian needs to personally prove or test all things and hold fast to that which is good. In other words, when a Christian hears something or when someone tries to teach them something, they should go to the Word of God and prove it. The proof for what they believe should come from the Bible.
