Triton, child of the deep, finds a seashell and hears the dawn of the deep blue sea. A stream of uncertain sound gains flow and rhythm over time. A song moves across the morphing sea, elusive to every mortal ear and sensed only by the children of the deep. Triton, Oceanus, and Poseidon feel the song change the sea. Proteus remembers how the song allowed the sea to change at the beginning of his journey. He wishes to return to the beginning of his long journey, which he believes spans millennia. He remembers seeing the sea morph for the first time, and he aims to recapture this moment.
