By Marc Lonergan-Hertel

At some point the innocence of youth is lost, and we become adults. This story follows the real-world rite of passage of a young boy that grows up to be a PROTECTOR as a Navy SEAL and as a professional explorer. Mychal DalCassian's story is about daring to dream and facing your fears. It is based on the true-life adventures of the author. The journey begins on Dolphin Island. "The secret navigational route to Dolphin Island is from The Beast to... The Beauty... I will show you the way." - Mychal DalCassian This story is dedicated to the parents, spouses, and families of protectors around the world. Join ten-year-old Mychal DalCassian on an adventure to his secret island. Dolphin Island is a magical world that the young adventurer creates, that strangely reflects the adventures he will experience as an adult. The Adventures of Mychal DalCassian documents a twenty-year journey in the life of a young man that learns how to navigate around the ugly challenges in life, in order to find the gems of beauty with people and nature. The story begins with a boy that charts a course aboard his raft on his secret pond; the course runs between two trees that he calls The Beast and The Beauty. Along his journey he finds a reward that his island--and The Beauty, possess. It is something that will guide him on his life mission as an adult.
