For a long time now, humanity has been at peace. Issa Djata, of the Explorers Guild, seeks to put human feet the furthest they've ever been in a crewed mission to Pluto. There, he makes a discovery that shakes humanity and puts into motion a series of events that tests all of society. The thread of his story intertwines with two others. Felicia, a young search and rescue pilot just entering the service and ironically Amita, an auditor at the Earth Grain Board.
