The objective of this research is the design of a set of activities that contribute to encourage the practice of chess in third grade girls of the Gualberto Galv n Cervantes elementary school in the municipality of Carlos Manuel de C spedes. The theoretical referential framework of the work was based on a wide bibliographic review where the theoretical methods of analysis and synthesis, historical-logical and induction-deduction were used. The diagnosis of the characteristics of the practice of chess in the female sex was carried out through the application of empirical methods such as observation, interview and survey. The recruitment and permanence of girls in the learning of chess has been a constant concern of the teachers of this sport, being very poor, compared to those of the opposite sex, a situation present in every school, sports teaching centers, academies, talent schools, which has a negative impact on the quality of the athletes when it comes to the preparation of teams with the objective of competitive confrontations.
