Prophets in New York is a story that takes place in the late 90's/ early 2000's. It's about three young black adults growing up in the rough boroughs of New York City. At first glance, they look no different than anyone else. Yet, there is something very different about them. They possess abilities surpassing that of their peers, abilities so abnormal that the three are known as modern-day prophets of the ghetto. In one day, everything they stand for, fight for, and believe is suddenly snatched away. Their gifts become their crisis, making them New York City's most wanted. The mayor of the city is murdered in a vicious car bombing. After one of the three sets out to warn the mayor before the explosion takes place, they are marked and falsely accused of being the perpetrators. What unfolds afterwards is mind-blowing!
