Promoting EFL Learners' Knowledge of Idiomatic Phrasal-verbs

Native speakers of English frequently and unconsciously use phrasal-verbs in their every day conversations but non-native speakers of English face a lot of hurdles when it comes to utilizing Phrasal-verbs particularly the Idiomatic ones. By incorporating such problematic aspects of English into ELT textbooks, material developers will be able to make the input more comprehensible for EFL and ESL learners from the early stages of English Language learning. Moreover, as literature suggests, improving L2 Learners' intensive and extensive reading habits is another helpful resort which must be taken into great consideration.This study aimed raising learners' awareness towards using English Phrasal-verbs as they develop skills while doing intensive reading in the classroom and trasfere them into extensive reading context, so a balanced approach of intensive and extensive reading will provide learners maximum benefit.
