Great book, in a series of great books.

This whole series is just wonderful, written by a man with true sensitivity and foresight.

Satisfying continuation of the previous series

This was an excellent book. The original series (Children of the Promise) was definitely captivating. The sequel series (Hearts of the Children) wasn't quite as good or fast moving as the 1st series, but also quite good. My wife got me this book for Christmas, and it was a really nice read. Mostly it's about Diane and her struggles, but it ties up a few other loose ends as well as far as the other grandchildren. It felt good to read. If you've read the other series, it only makes sense to finish it up with this additional book.
