Live Like You're Going To The Promised Land!

"Promised Land Living" by J. Oswald Sanders, one of my favorite authors, is a great read for the Christian who needs encouragement to live victoriously. The book describes Joshua's life and actions as described in the Book of Joshua. Among the topics covered by Sanders include: 1. What Canaan represents - represents victorious living in our present life. 2. Kadesh-Barnea crisis - examples of when we have a "desert" experience due to being a committed Christian or due to sin in our lives. 3. Jordan River crossing - acting in faith instead of fear. 4. Conquest of Jericho - our faith must rest in God instead of ourselves or others. 5. Perils of the Promised Land - compromise, indolence, etc. Through specific examples in the Book of Joshua, Sanders shows us how we may live victoriously now! A great read. Read and be greatly encouraged and challenged. Highly recommended!
