Grace And Rocky Forever!!!

Fantasy is my usual world, but after reading fantasy after fantasy, everyone needs a break. So I (also loving sci fi) picked up this guy as a palet cleanser. Little did I know that It was going to become one of my top books ever. There are too many things that I love about this book so ill try to name a few: 1. The writing style. The humor is so simply perfect. If it ain't broke dont fix it. Literally the kind of writing style that is just a breath of fresh air from anything else. 2. The plot Saving the world? Are you kidding? Hes literally an astronaut out in space making things happen. Magnificent. 3. Rocky Im obsessed. Thats all im gonna say. Overall, this book is freaking amazing and anyone from like, 10-99 would enjoy it IMHO, so just save yourself the procrastination and pick up Project Hail Mary and have an amazing time

Great SciFi even if you're not a fan!!!!

This is a thrill read from start to finish! It is certainly science fiction but not obnoxiously so which enables everyone to read it. Much more of a story about the human condition and the limits one can go to to survive. Also alot about accepting the differences in others and working together to achieve common goals. I guess I liked it because I ordered it twice!

I don’t care for this genre but I loved this book!

Andy Weir is a great storyteller and i found the narrator to be very endearing!

Great plot… execution just okay

Overarching plot? Loved it, super creative. But everything else — problems that arise, emotional moments that should punch, even some basic science — just resolves too fast. As in, within the span of two paragraphs for what should be one of the most emotional moments, or one page for a problem that could (and should!) easily be more technically and emotionally complex. There were also some details — both plot and scientific — that the movie just truly did better, and I don’t think I’ve ever said that before about any other book. Andy Weir is wonderfully creative, but as an author he’s just okay.

so touching!

Amazing story! Surprisingly funny, tension builds nicely, and relationships between characters are very lifelike and really suck you in. Sci-fi elements are easy enough to understand. It's not super dense and easy enough to make sense of, so this would be a good pick for someone's first venture into the genre (or for someone wanting a less mind-numbingly academic read).

Great read

Great book. I'm not usually into this genre but the author did a phenomenal job. I never lost interest while reading.

Transporting

This book was an instant hit for me. I loved the whole adventure discovering right alongside Rocky & Grace. A favorite for sure.

Get this for the sci fi lover in your life, this is very much a “dudes rock” book

amazing book!!

this book was a really fun read, I finished it in about a day! I really liked how realistic it felt, like this could really happen. (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) I read this shortly after watching the martian. the martian is also a nice book. same author so there are obvious similarities there.

Transporting

This book is one of those that makes you forget you're reading. Personality filled dialogs with crisp environment descriptions. Definitely a book to reread again and again.

long-time Andy Weir fan

one of the best Weir books to date. it has the same voice that Weir has cultivated- it's funny, it's brash, and it's got flawed, idiot characters who can laugh or cry at themselves. its delightful- a wonderful way to introduce amnesia into his writing.

Wonderful odyssey with two protagonists you can’t help but care deeply about. Claws up!!!

You'll love it even if you're not a fan of sci-fi

I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi. If I read sci-fi, it's the funny sort of sci-fi like Hitchhiker's Guide. This book had me rolling on the floor laughing. It's funny, cute, thought provoking, and the very science-y parts are well explained for the average layman to understand. I recommend this book to everyone I know, and so far everyone I know who has read it feels the same way. 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely incredible

This book is one of my all time favorites I cannot begin to describe how much I loved it. I thought the Martian was great but this is another level. Wow wow wow. I read it in one sitting and I just want to start over and read it all over again
