In my first book, "I love you. I thank you. I need you.", I described how I have, for many decades now, used "I" statements to flourish despite autism, learning challenges, childhood and war time traumas, addiction, a criminal record and prison time. I was born, 1950, in rural North Dakota and insisted on being happily gay since my earliest memories. That brought its own challenges. I am considered a gay pioneer in North Dakota and am very proud of that commitment. In my second book, "Perfection is Progress" I write about all I have learned about success in all areas of my life when the odds were not in my favor and I was not able to move at any one else's pace or standards. I learned to be excited about learning about my self, setting my standards, and succeeding no matter what. All by finding out who I am based on principles found around the world. I am love. I am unconditional love. I love every person, no matter what. My perfection is in doing my best, right now, right here, in this present moment. The past is infinite in its lessons. The future is pure potential. All every person has is this moment. My best in this moment is my best. My best is progress. Constant learning, changing and growing in a universe where all that is constant is change. I believe my best in the present moment is perfection for any person. Perfection is progress. No one ever does better than their best, as they determine that to be, right now, right here. In "Progress is Perfection" I show the word exercises I have developed over the decades of daily affirmations. These simple exercises keep me at home with me and what my best is in my goal to be of maximum service to each person and moment each day. My progress, through these disciplines, is my perfection. Progress always. My progress is my perfection. I take the reader through a simple set of meditations on each of the principles that are core to my being and doing. I love you and wish you the best. If my words can help you come home to the wonder you have always been, I have done my job. Thank you!
