In this second edition I have revised the content in several chapters to reflect a further maturity of thought in some areas and to remove ambiguity of several paragraphs. As in the previous edition, the study examines some of the spiritual characteristics that should be present in the life of a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. The purpose of the study was to wrestle with the meaning of discipleship, to resolve my confusion of what a true disciple should be like, and to make some sense of my own experience of failure and frustration, as I saw it. Have you struggled with the meaning of discipleship? Perhaps you feel confused about what a true disciple should be like? Or have you experienced a sense of failure and frustration in your own walk of faith? This book aims to help you understand concisely and clearly some of the spiritual characteristics that should be present in the life of a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. My hope is that a genuine seeker might find some practical help for their own spiritual journey. This book contains five main chapters. The first chapter looks at the New Birth and explains the central importance of this as the beginning of spiritual life. Chapter 2 suggests how this unique life might be lived. Chapter 3 examines some marks of spiritual maturity. Chapter 4 looks at what happens when a disciple sins. The final chapter is a brief study of the parable of The Judgement of the sheep and the goats.
