Based on my discussions and correspondence with Professor Goia, and with others who know him, I present this homage book about Professor Goia, at his 78th birthday.Professor Ioan Goia is a great engineering educator, with a complex life history, which is interesting to be known not only by specialists. Like the well-known Spanish romantic painter Francisco de Goya, born 188 years before Professor Goia, and who was consummately dedicated to his multifarious paintings, from "La Maja Vestida" to "Dona Tadea Arias De Enriquez", the same Professor Goia was consummately dedicated to his multifarious educational and engineering activities.For this reason we wrote this book for the general public, with only few technical details, including numerous enchanting photographs taken at conferences and with other occasions, as well as extensive notes about the world events from Professor Goia's childhood, which events were, are and will be very important for many generations.
