Outstanding Resource for Association Managers

Associations and societies are in the information and education business. This is true whether information is delivered in print (books, magazines, journals) or live (educational seminars and conferences) or in electronic formats. It is important to keep in mind the inter dependencies between association publishing and other information-driven programs, such as certification, conferences, education (professional development), standards, E-learning, and symposia. Great Resource

Everything the association exec or senior staff person needs, whether you work for a (c)(6) or a (c)(3). If you're studying for the CAE exam, then this is one of the recommended core works from the ASAE. It's a book of readings and, as such, some of the authors are better writers than others. All in all, however, it covers just about everything you're going to need to run an agency, an association, or even a consulting practice that caters to the nfp community. Highly recommended, even if it is priced (and written) like a college text.
