The professional orientation is decisive in the life of the individual for its significance in the selection, formation and professional performance, directed to be the student the center of this process. The objective of this research is to propose a strategy of professional orientation towards the career of Information Sciences of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, directed to the students of the twelfth grade of the Central Region. The work assumes the mixed approach and in a first moment the diagnosis of the professional needs in the twelfth grade students of the Central Region is carried out with the use of methods and techniques of quali-quantitative cut. From the regularities, it is projected the scientific result that potentiates the self-determination, the awareness and the motivation of the student towards Information Sciences, making possible the reflexive construction of their future life project.
