An interesting read that offers much to consider about life, meaning, and existence

I enjoyed reading the book. It offers an interesting perspective on humanity's role in the overall scheme of existence. It begins with a discussion of the modern scientific understanding of the evolution of the universe, and it reconciles that understanding to some extent with spiritual and philosophical views of nature that has been expressed since ancient times. The author then offers the notion that the purpose of the universe and all living things is evolution. Thus, actions that are pro-evolution are in harmony with the natural order of existence, whereas those that are anti-evolution are in disharmony. He then applies this principle to many areas of life, providing examples along the way. I agree with the gist of what the author expounded in regard to proper human behavior, but I also think that some of his underlying assumptions are flawed. Thus, I believe his conclusions in general are correct, but the basis for those conclusions or similar conclusions require revision if they are to withstand the test of scrutiny. Nevertheless, the overall message of the book is positive and thought-provoking, worthy of consideration.
