Part 1
"You can help me, by letting go of my wrist." Addalyne ripped her wrist from Shane's grip storming behind the bar, being met with a slap to her that echoed through the bar, causing her to drop the bottle shattering as it hit the floor.
Mabel ran to Addalyne's defense as the bar tender knocked her to the floor. She stood between them, as Shane leaped over the bar, wrapping arm around him in a choke hold. Jake stood with Jarid holding their stance watching as men from the bar stood. Mabel helped Addalyne off the floor.
Jake thought he heard Mabel tell Addalyne, "We warned you to never marry a rogue." Jake lowered his eyebrows, looking at Mabel, who glared at him and then Jarid as she hugged Addalyne walking in front of them.
Addalyne looked back at Shane holding on to her cheek, Jake could have sworn she said, "White Alpha." Jake watched Mabel rush Addalyne through a door in the back of the bar.
Part 2
Catching her breath, she starts reading the newspaper to Ellie and Shannel. "Date June 1, 1878 - The well known, handsome horse breeder, Shane Blake, age 31, strong and tall is looking for a wife to share his prize horses with, the woman who wins his heart will have as a wedding gift a prize horse. Come to New Hampshire and fill out the form and arrangements will be made for you to meet Shane Blake, there will be an ad run when he finds his bride.
"I would love to have a piece of his meat." Shannel said, rubbing her sides still not speaking of Shane. "Unlike you, I notice when I see one, I don't turn them all away." Shannel snapped, seeing her friend put her head down. "I'm sorry Elly, I know why you don't want no man around, it's been one year since your husband Joe died, Dustin is now six, and he barely knows his mother, I think you've grieved long enough, the boy can't stay at his grand parents' forever. I know you feel it's your fault and you believe if you're the one taking care of Dustin, he will get sick like Joe did, but it's not your fault, you can't protect everyone from yourself." Shannel finished hugging her friend. "Look at you, you're beautiful, you could make a man like Shane melt like butter in the hot son, with your bright blue eyes, your dark golden hair even though you cut it off short, and your body is to die for, your thin and having Dustin gave you the curves you deserve, I'm jealous, I wish I looked as delicious as you do." Shannel said, holding onto Ellie's shoulders, making her blush. "And to top it off you got the shyness of a cat, that makes men want you more, unlike me being too forward." Shannel added, but she thought she wasn't forward enough, with her man, she was too nervous to speak around and get his name, she knew he wasn't Shane, Shane was gone, if she had only gotten his name she wouldn't feel so empty inside right now, as though he belonged there with her. Shannel just shook her head, not bothering to convince her anymore, "Well I am going to do it, but you two are going to do it for me." Shannel smiled, hoping her man would remember her and oh maybe, just maybe her best friends could be wooed by Shane and one of his other friends. She knew of Shane and his family how he cared for his sister and one of his friends took the place of her dead husband, taking care of her and talking to her father of ways to care for his grieving mate, as he put it, that is the kind of family and friendship she wanted for herself and her friends, and someway somehow she will find a way.
