Privateer

By Michael Scandalios

Book Overview

A promising young officer in the British Royal Navy. A fearsome pirate. A brave hero of the American Revolution. What is the improbable connection between these three men? Remarkably, they happen to be the same person. Privateer is the story of Mathew Carrigan, America's first naval hero. When a secret royal naval mission to recover ancient gold ends in disaster, Mathew investigates and his discovery challenges his loyalties. Consumed by revenge, Mathew commands a crew of naval mercenaries that intercept British cargo and military transports - as pirates, and the legend of the infamous Quicksilver is born. From intrigue in the British royal court to a treasure hunt in the Greek islands to stirring battles at sea, Privateer blends suspense, romance, and humor with several twists along the way.
