This book was fabulous...at the moment, I am reading it for the fourth time. I am an english major and it is so refreshing to finally have an author write so beautifully and with such a mastery of words. You will love to stop and re-read phrases gathering deeper meaning to each new page. The story is heartwarming and addictive..you will want to visit the wonderful people who seem to become your own relatives in this book. I am sure you will read it again and again as I have, making all the characters come back just once more!
Beautifully crafted

From the first chapter I was hooked on this book! I fell in love with the main character, Patrick and have missed him since I finished the story! Ms. Griffin is word smithe extaordinaire; I often read a phrase over just to re-experience all that she conveyed through so many of my senses. Character development is terrific, story is enveloping and the words paint glorious pictures in one's mind. I certainly hope this new author has plans to grace us with another novel.

Loved it! So well written. The author so skillfully weaves the story of Haddie Kelly Halloran, her grandson Patrick, and the lives they touch so that it lingers to enrich the spirit, touch the heart and warm the soul. This is Sandi Zamarano Griffin's first novel and I hope another is forthcoming soon.
