In the shadow of the King, Michael Edwards fell passionately in love with Priscilla Presley. Now, for the first time, here is the whole story of their tempestuous affair, from the early heady days of... This description may be from another edition of this product.
If you've seen the character Jefferson D'Arcy (Married with Children) you've seen this guy, at least from what I read in his autobiography. To sum it up: superficial pervert with an Elvis fixation manipulates himself into Elvis' his ex-wife's bed and worse, into Elvis' orphaned daughter's life. He admits desiring Elvis' then pre-teen daughter Lisa yet tries to portray himself as fatherly in his relationship to her, then has the utter humility to compare himself to Elvis Presley.
There are lots of photos in this book - and every picture tells a story. Lisa's face and the look in her eyes tell it all, and my heart breaks for her.
The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because this guy seemed honest about being what he is, which is unusual. But I don't recommend this at all; it's a nauseating read, also boring as hell - which is weird given all the opportunities he's had. I read it from curiousity after all the publicity about the issues following Lisa's death, which was pretty much a waste of time and money. If you're curious you can probably check this out for free from your local library.
Unsettling

This book I couldn't put down. It really gets into the relationship that Priscilla had with Michael Edwards but also the love she still had and still has for Elvis. I find this also unsettling about the relationship with Lisa Marie. A must read for any fan.
Elvis Gets Sweet Revenge!

Great book! Pretty much sums up what "Child Bride" by Suzanne Finstad was trying to tell people. Priscilla Presley besmirched Elvis in her book, "Elvis & Me." Now Elvis gets his sweet revenge through Mike Edwards tell-all. Great pictures included in the book and Ms. Presley appears to be quite happy. No signs of grief over the loss of Elvis here. What some people seem to forget is that Elvis is a very powerful man - in life and death!
