What we want and what we have might be the difference about our dreams and our commitments. We often lie to ourselves, unconsciously, about what is important. We say we want to be a leader, but what we want is the comfort of being safe. We say we want a promotion, but we don't want to learn or take risks that might demonstrate we don't have the right stuff. We want to lose weight, but tonight I eat the lasagna. I want to spend more time with my family, but right now I have to work 80 hours a week.
Congruence is the alignment of our intentions, our values and our actions. It is the happy spot we all seek. We are comfortable with where we are because everything in our life is consistent. Our intentions and our actions speak the same language. Burnout, overwhelm, stress, disengagement, and depression say we are out of alignment. It is about choices and choices are our Priorities.
