Principles of Spiritual Growth

These Principles of Spiritual Growth are presented in a practical form. The aim of the book is to carefully bring out some of the more important principles of spiritual growth, in order to help build upon a sound biblical foundation in Christ. Once there was a philosopher's stone, and carved in its sparkling green surface was "read, reread, and do". This stone was said to change common material into gold! This book can turn an ordinary life into a santified one! Good reading!

A Classic

I first read this book in the late 70's, and while it deeply impacted me, there were aspects I didn't understand. I re-read it occasionally, and I understand more each time. One of Miles Stanford's emphases was the uniqueness of Paul's writings. Paul not only taught that salvation was by faith in the Son of God, but also that our Christian lives must be lived by faith in the Son of God. "I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Put those other Christian books aside, and read this one!

Powerful

This neat little book is awesome. I have been "wowed" by several books recommended to me from a friend, and this was one of them. When I say "wowed," I mean a book that leaves me gaping and having to put the book down because there's SO much insight and revelation on the page I just read. This book brings much truth to the simple truths of the Christian life.

2nd to the Bible for changing my life!

AWSOME!!!! This book although small, packs a serious punch! If you are a christian young or old, this book will transform your life. I read this book originally in 1984 and it is the 2nd favorite book in my library. If you want to know the deeper truths of Christ and finally get a firm grip on the foundations of GODS word, if you want to be able to answer the tough questions that every christian has.....BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!!

The most awesome book of God's love and grace

I first read this book in 1996, it was a gift from a friend. I have gone back to this book time and time again since. This wonderful, exciting, awesome book puts so simply God's marvelous love and grace towards us, His children. This book isn't about striving, or fighting or working hard to be who God wants you or I to be. This book is so powerful in that it lays open for each and everyone of us the simple fact that Jesus wants us to give him the burden of living this life and let Him live His life through us. It is in completely giving ourselves over to Him that this life becomes bareable and livable. This book shows us so simply and yet most powerfully "It is no longer I, but Christ..."
