This is a good introduction to operations research with emphasis on linear programming. It is at about the same level as Hillier and Lieberman but I prefer the book by Hillier and Lieberman for an introductory course at the masters level.

This is a superior volume on the workings of linear programming. The author provides ample illustrations of how to diagrama linear programming solution, as well as solutions through thesimplex method. There is an exhaustive set of advanced operationsresearch methods; namely:o linear models, algebra and the geometry of these modelso the simplex method, sensitivity training and dualityo network models, network algorithms, dynamic modelso deterministic inventory schedulingo integer programming, the nonlinear objective functiono advanced nonlinear programmingo probabilistic inventory modelso waiting lines and simulation, computer simulationo advanced queuing and network algorithmsThis text shows how to build and implement an advanced operations research model. The author emphasizes the designof models because linear programming software can be usedto solve these problems once structured by the user(s).This book presumes some knowledge of calculus, linear algebraand probability/statistical inference. Operations Researchmodels are useful for many industrial engineering applications.
