Since independence, most African nations have suffered thwarted existence and scorching unemployment and underemployment malady resulting from poor leadership machinery that had been in place in these nations over the years. The post independence African leaders have been accused of being venal, corrupt, irresponsible, and hypocritical and without vision. As a result of poor and irresponsible governance, the masses have been denied access to good education, good health care and reliable employment opportunities. To reverse the trend therefore, there is the need to train students who will become leaders tomorrow, on the principles of egalitarianism, selflessness and incorruptibility. Above all, training students to become self - employed and self - reliant in this era of protracted unemployment scenario is a viable option to these social ills.
