Princess Sweetness & Light

By: O'Malley, Virginia

King Majestic Materialistic had two wonderful daughters; one was the most beautiful young lady in the kingdom, and one humble and kind but not as beautiful as her sister. The idea for this story came to me by thinking about this world today and how everything is surrounded by fake beauty. Some young people are lost in the shadows because they feel like they don't fit in. There is too much emphasis on looking a particular way and having designer items of so-called worth. I hope that by reading this book, children and young adults understand the true meaning of beauty in the eye of the beholder and that they do not need to alter their natural beauty with all this fakeness of today. Talents are there that can be invested in instead. Everyone has a talent whether they realise it or not and it is more worthy to invest in your talents than trying to change the way you look. Someone out there is looking for you exactly the way you are so don't forget that. I hope this book inspires young people to invest in their talents and not how they look. This book is aimed at both boys and girls, young and old.
