Jeanine is surviving her widowhood by becoming a hard-driving business woman pursuing the dream she and her husband had planned to share on the lake. Her lake is surrounded by live music theaters, dozens of them, which draw hordes of wannabees; aspiring to succeed as vocalists, instrumentalists, songwriters, composers, directors and theater managers; and will do anything to make it to the top. This includes the operators of the support businesses; providing transportation, food, lodging, and retail merchandise. Then, too, there are the con-artists, crooks, and gamblers, who naturally follow any kind of business boom. Jeanine is happily following the demands and delights of her tourist business, until she discovers the underlying intrigues that influence all the venues, as well as the politics, of the area. Soon she is accused of committing a crime, then finds herself in the position of possibly becoming a victim, as she unravels the mysteries, while finding romance along the way.
