Every female must live through the same rite of passage from girlhood into womanhood in the way that is unique to them, no matter her circumstance or position or residence. This is my story of transformation from naivety to maturity learned on a Texas hill country ranch and living a life of love, adventure, family, lessons, and forever. Let me formally introduce myself: Lisbeth, the beautiful Scandinavian form of the English name Elizabeth. However, there was nothing beautiful nor extraordinary about me as a young girl. I lived my childhood years in an eight-by-eight room, all the while longing to travel to India, navigate the Ganges, or swim the Australian coral reefs, and like so many of my girl friends, longed to branch out, bud, and blossom into the woman whom I am supposed to become. Most of these experiences and life lessons I learned on my family's Texas ranch. Perhaps this could be your story too
