was not in "acceptable" condition

Over 95% of this book has been used. It should not have been offered for sale. It is more akin to a workbook than a textbook and a previous student filled in the answers- some pages in thick dark pencil, others, in purple ink. I will need to spend many hours erasing the pages done in pencil but I cannot get it truly erased. It is a hard item to find so if I send it back I have no text to teach from in order to complete the workbook that partners with it. This is both dishonest and absurd. The condition should have said 'very poor' and stated why.
