I like reading the book of Proverbs. The verses in this book are so pragmatic and applicable to everyday life. The proverbes speak plainly of right and wrong choices, wise or foolish behaviors and the consequences or rewards that come to us. There is a proverb that will instruct us in any life event that comes our way. If we let the Holy Spirit show us how to apply the wisdom found in the precious words of proverbs, we will grow up in our faith. In July 2013 I started a blog called Sir Norm's Proverbial Comment as a summer project. I took the timeless principles from proverbs and started applying them to what I saw going on around me day by day. I recorded some of the thoughts and ideas that were coming through conversations, bible studies, and life memories. The summer project turned into a weekly blog posted in three languages. The blog has given me a weekly outlet to express my thoughts, concerns and the blessings of walking with the Lord in this day and age. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to putting this book together. Norm Sawyer
My relationship with a friend was failing. I needed to both apologize and forgive but I didn't know where to begin. Pride really gets in the way of doing what we need to do to repair our broken relationships sometimes. Part five of this book got me through that tough time. Each chapter detailed with Scripture exactly what I needed to do or get past in order to truly forgive and move on. This book is for anyone who is seeking to get beyond themselves, their own pride, and really learn to let God change them for the better.
